Webpage Questions

Is my artist webpage permanent?

Your application process builds your web page. The artist statement and images you upload, upon acceptance into the show, will create your artist web page. The artist pages showcase the 5 images per individual artist, and more for groups depending on wht size exhibit you purchase.

You have the ability to update your page on our site at any time by logging on to the application section. If you are registered for two events simultaneously (ArtWalk on the Bay and ArtWalk) the same information and images that you have currently on your individual page, will show on both event web sites.

When will my artist webpage be up?

The current artists for an event are typically made “live” about 4 months prior to the event.

Can you keep web crawlers from giving spammers my email address?

All artist email addresses on the event website are encrypted with javascript to prevent software programs called spiders/crawlers from gathering artist emails for spammers. This protection has been in place since 2003.

Should I be concerned about fraudulent activity through my artist webpage?

Although your email address is encrypted, it is not possible to prevent this type of activity. If we become aware of fraudulent offers made to artists, we will send out an email to alert you of the activity. Always be wary of international offers to buy your work. Also be wary of cashier check and wire transfer scams.
